Placenta Encapsulation Specialist®
Tara Carpenter - Central Vermont, Chittenden County, and Upper Valley, NH
Hello! My name is Tara. I live in the heart of Vermont. Since I was a child, I have felt an incredible pull to the postpartum period of a woman’s life.
At the age of 5, I walked the streets of my neighborhood looking for pink or blue balloons, signaling the arrival of a new baby. I would march up to the front door and present the family with a handmade “Mother’s Helper” card, eventually becoming an extended part of their lives.
My life has always teemed with little ones and their pregnant mothers. My mother ran a home day care and Montessori preschool; our home was the hub of the home birthing community; and at the age of 6 and 9 years of age, I was an active participant in the birth of both my sister and brother…My job was to cut the umbilical cord!
As a Therapeutic Chef and Nutrition Consultant, I understand the immense value that nutrient-rich foods , such as bone stock and marrow, can have on the body. My long-time interest in the healing power of foods had me immediately intrigued by the idea of placenta encapsulation. It makes perfect sense to me for a new mother to ingest such a vital organ, as the placenta itself, and be replenished after the arduous work of pregnancy and birth.
I am delighted to offer Placenta Encapsulation to families throughout New England, and look forward to nourishing new mothers from the inside out!
