Check out Polly Wood, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist® with PBi, in an article by Aaron Munzer in the IthacaJournal.com. Polly serves women in Ithaca, NY, and surrounding counties and the Finger Lakes region. The article spotlights on Polly Wood and describes the wonderful services of Placenta Encapsulation (I know, I am a bit biased). What is also great about this article is that through out it are tidbits of information advocating and educating the reader on the benefits the placenta holds for postpartum moms.
Polly is quoted saying, “It’s the only time humans make an organ when they need it,” she said. “It’s another aspect of our body’s natural wisdom that’s just tossed out. If you don’t decide to take your placenta home from the hospital, it’s tossed out as toxic waste.”
Letting everyone know how important and valuable their placenta is can not be underestimated. Munzer quotes different opinions and views of placentophagy in the article but stays true to the thread of honest curiosity and intrigue of the placenta and placenta encapsulation, while Polly’s honoring of the placenta is tangible.
…And it is so awesome that PBi’s very own Polly Wood has such a great interview article online! To enjoy the full article click here.
