We would like to congratulate Sarah Skinner, PBi’s newest Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist® (CPES). To become certified, a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist® (PES) must complete the PBi training, including reading research and writing response papers. The PES must complete three placentas using PBi’s method of placenta encapsulation and take a food safety and preparation course to be in line with the state’s regulations.
Sarah is serving the Savona, NY community and is committed to providing exceptional postpartum support to the women in her area. As a sufferer of depression, Sarah became a believer in the power of placenta encapsulation after the birth of her third child. She practices a holistic lifestyle; home schools her children, and is a very valuable resource on natural parenting, breastfeeding, and baby wearing.
Sarah is passionate about educating and supporting new mothers. She feels support is key in having a healthy and happy postpartum experience.
“I think birthing mothers should be supported in every aspect so they can focus on nourishing themselves and their baby’s. My hope is that every mother and child will have a peaceful, empowering birth.”
Thank you to Sarah Skinner for her commitment to advocating for new mothers and to the placenta encapsulation movement!
