My name is Nicole Link-Troen. I am the oldest of six children and I graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2008. I then moved to Richmond, VA and I married my ever supportive husband Eric in July 2008 and then I gave birth to Miles in November of 2009. My son was born naturally in the hospital after a necessary transfer from my planned homebirth. I was fortunate enough to have midwives (Kim Mosny CPM, LM) that supported my birth plan and made sure that I was able to get my placenta from the hospital to have it encapsulated. I have been 'sold' on placenta ever since.
After suffering from antepartum blues I was nervous about the postpartum ones and I am so glad that I choose to consume my placenta and have it encapsulated. I feel blessed by my experiences with birth and postpartum and I want to 'pay it forward' to the women in my community and I can think of no better way to do that than to enable and support them by making the benefits of their placenta available for an extended time. I am also available for postpartum support work including lite housework, cooking, and childcare; please call and ask about these services. I am an admitted birth junkie and I am honored to serve postpartum women as they recover from pregnancy and birth.
Primarily I am working in the Richmond community and surrounding counties (Hanover, Henrico, Chesterfeild, Midlothian), but I am also available for women in Charlottesville and Lynchburg if the need arises.
