 I live in Salt Lake City and thoroughly enjoy being surrounded by the majestic mountains and the beauty of the Great Salt Lake. I am a student midwife and fell in love with placentas last year in my apprenticeship with my dear friend and Preceptor. I find that working with a mother's and baby's placenta is such a sacred honor. I enjoy learning about the mother long before her birth and especially love when I have an opportunity to connect with both her and the baby through my other prenatal services (see the side margin).
Soon after birth, I quietly step into her nest and slowly begin to work with the mother's placenta. It is a very sacred and powerful experience to hold what once was the shared life gateway between mother and child. I make it my utmost duty to hold, protect, and aid in the transformation of the placenta into capsules that will continue to breath life, energy, and love back to the mother. I find placenta medicine to be a very powerful offering to women postpartum. I also offer other healing modalities that bring balance and harmony to your body, mind and spirit.
